My name is Kevin, and I was born and raised in the North East of England. I worked in the finance industry for the most part of my life, but have spent the last three years travelling and seeing the world. I spent a year in mainland Spain first, then a year in Tenerife. These were both fantastic experiences, I supported myself along the way working in sales, and various roles in public relations. Whilst the sunshine and beaches were a beautiful contrast to my usual town life, the most amazing experience so far for me, is my adventure in China. 



I have always been fascinated by the Far East , and when I learned there was an opportunity to travel there and spend a year experiencing the real China first hand, I just had to take it. I was, like most people, very nervous and apprehensive initially about what to expect and how I would feel embarking on such a journey full of mystery, but being the adventurous soul I am, my curiosity led me to the airport, setting off across the globe full of hope and expectations. I am delighted to say, they were truly lived up to.

Though at first, the immense cultural differences left me a little shell shocked, I soon settled in and made my self at home. The warmth and welcoming I received from the many Chinese people, I have met in this magical year has left me truly dumbfounded. Especially from the children I had the pleasure of spending the year with at Dear Child Kindergarten. The respect and loving I have had from the children during my stay was truly heart warming, and emotionally moving. I didn't realize they would become such a huge part of my life, and I am eternally grateful for being blessed with them for the year.

I stayed in the city of Chongqing, an exhilarating city full of culture, new and old. During my time in China, my feet carried me to Hong Kong, the fascinating Guizhou Province where I spent the Chinese New Year, and a breath-taking fortnight in the Tibet Mountains, to name but a few places I had the pleasure of visiting. 

It is through the many friendships I have formed over the past year, and the fantastic experience I have had thanks to them, that I want to maintain relationships with China. Thus, I am now in liaison with some of the most highly reputable schools and kindergartens across China with the 'Teach In China' project. An opportunity for you too, to experience the adventure of a lifetime. It is my desire for as many people as possible to share in my experience. Only through such experiences will we truly enlighten our souls, and embrace among the contrasts of life, and make the world a purer place to live, for ourselves, and for our children.

I am now happy to be home with my beautiful family. Though the last few years of my life have been so fulfilling and rewarding, home is always where the heart is.
